Terms and conditions
General
All orders accepted by this company are subject to these terms and conditions
of sale, which supersede any previous terms and conditions and are set out
below. Please read through these carefully before placing your order, we recommend
that you print a copy for future reference.
Terms and conditions may from time to time be changed without notice to you.
Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received.
Description of goods
All our goods are made to the highest standard using local
slate. Any markings in the slate are natural, and therefore all goods will
be unique. There may be colour and marking variations due to the nature of
natural materials used. All descriptions and illustrations contained in this
website are only intended to give a general idea of the products. All sizes
quoted are approximate. It is the customer’s responsibility to advise us of
any maximum or minimum dimensions at the time of order.
Prices
all prices are inclusive of vat. postage and packing is charged at £5.00 per order (UK Only).
Payment
Payment is by cheque or credit card basis with order etc etc as per previous
terms and conditions you had done If paying by cheque please make payable to “Coniston
Stonecrafts”.
Cheques are subject to clearance before delivery.
Dispatch Policy
Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that the items shown are available,
if we are unable to supply the goods we will notify you as soon as possible
upon receipt of your order. You will then be offered a refund or alternative
product. You will receive confirmation of your order within a few days. It
is the customer’s responsibility to notify us of any errors or changes required
within 2 days of receipt of confirmation. We usually begin to manufacture the
goods within seven days. If you have ordered a house sign or special project
we regret that if the process has already begun we may be unable to make any
amendments.
Privacy policy
All confidential information is held securely and used only in accordance
with the Data Protection Act. We do not pass your details on to third parties,
but we do reserve the right to pass customer contact details to our delivery
company in order to facilitate delivery. You may specifically request that
we do not do so.
Cancellations and returns
If your goods are not manufactured to your specifications then you have the
right to cancel the contract, return the goods and receive either a full refund
of your monies or replacement goods. No goods will be accepted for return without
prior agreement. Please contact us beforehand in either in writing or by e-mail,
telling us that you are returning the goods and stating your reasons. Returns
are made at the customer’s expense although we may waive this responsibility
in certain circumstances. We reserve the right to implement an administration
charge for orders cancelled by the customer at any time prior to manufacture
of that order.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages
and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of this site.
Jurisdiction
The laws of England and Wales shall govern the contract between us and any
dispute between us shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and
Wales.
Reservation of title
The risk of the goods passes to the buyer upon delivery from the carrier,
but title in the goods remain vested in us and shall only pass from us to the
buyer upon full payment made by the buyer, of all sums due on whatsoever account
or grounds to us. Statutory rights
